We are looking for an AI-Focused Corporate Communications Intern

About the role

At COFRA we move with the times, adapt to our surroundings. And we recognise the world of communications is changing. We want to offer positions to interns to reflect and be at the forefront of this changing world.

Throughout your 6 months as our AI-Focused Corporate Communications Intern, you will gain an understanding of the capabilities and responsibilities of a corporate communications team, get hands-on experience with real-life communications projects, and develop a set of key communications skills to get equipped for future career success. Additionally, you will contribute knowledge to the communications team through your main project: exploring how artificial intelligence can enhance our communication strategies and developing a plan for integrating AI into our communication processes.

The corporate communications team consists of experienced and diverse communications professionals and is committed to challenging the successful candidate’s skills and competencies through mentoring and on-the-job learning (e.g. communications planning, providing communications advice in varied situations and writing).

Responsibilities

All tasks will be centred on learning and developing new skills over the course of 6 months. These tasks will include:

  1. Support of communications strategies and implementation
    • Helping with the day-to-day management (e.g. content creation + maintenance) of the various communications channels.
    • Participating in projects to help further establish, structure and streamline communications processes (both within the team and within the company).
    • Contributing to internal brainstorms and strategic planning.
  2. AI Exploration:
    • Researching and analysing AI applications relevant to corporate communications.
    • Identifying areas where AI can optimize processes, improve personalization, and enhance engagement.
  3. Content Enhancement:
    • Exploring AI-generated content options (e.g., automated drafting, sentiment analysis). 
    • Proposing innovative ways to leverage AI for creating compelling messages and materials.
  4. Strategy Development:
    • Working closely with communication leads to start the creation of an AI adoption roadmap.
    • Developing a clear plan of approach for integrating AI tools into our communication workflows.

Your profile

  • Highly flexible, able to work in a changing and multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Collaborative team player who is eager to learn, curious and thinks critically.
  • An avid consumer of news, tuned into what’s going on in the world.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong interest in AI and its applications in corporate communication.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and adaptable.
  • Valid EU working permit.
  • Pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital (transformation), Organisational change/culture, literature / language or related field.
  • Enrolled student for at least part of the internship period or within one year of graduation.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Ideally available for 6 months full-time.
