Joop Wijn appointed as Chair of C&A BV Supervisory Board

Zug, Switzerland, 19 December 2025 – A new Chair of the C&A BV Supervisory Board, Joop Wijn, has been appointed from 1 January 2026. He succeeds Allan Leighton, who has stepped down as Chair after six years of service.

Joop has a broad and distinguished background in executive management, corporate governance and government. He currently chairs the Supervisory Board of insurer a.s.r. and is a board member of Euronext and NIBC Bank. Previously, he served as Secretary of Finance and Minister of Economic Affairs in the Netherlands, in addition to executive roles including as Adyen’s Chief Strategy and Risk Officer and ABN AMRO’s Head of Corporate Banking.
